all gloomy and beaten up, with the dark palette and the chill of the winter, the capital of the former yugoslavia was very much an interesting city. the way i describe the city is pretty much how i would describe myself sometimes, all gloomy, beaten up, with the dark palette and the chill of a winter. which probably explains why i enjoyed much being in this city. there was a certain despair and melancholy of all these eastern european cities i visited that attracted me in a way. they aren't as festive and as extroverted as many major western european cities.
serbia is the 22nd country i visited and it was too bad i was in belgrade for too little amount of time. but if i have the chance, i would gladly and absolutely love to come back to this city.
