while we're young

"i wish we could just go back and meet each other all over again."
"i'd present myself differently so that you don't get your hopes up...
i think it's hard for me to have something great everyday and to acknowledge it. i have something great everyday."

watching while we're young makes me realize i've watched almost all of noah baumbach's films. i think what makes them interesting is that they're quirky yet so relatable. some time ago i was asked, "don't you want someone who would stay with you for the rest of your life?". i'm having a hard time answering such question because most of me believes there is no such thing. i know how twisted life can be and it will never be black and white.

i guess watching this movie is like seeing what i wanna see. being in the 40s, both settled, having the ability "to go to paris whenever we want", no kids whatsoever, and being intrigued by the life of those who are still on their 20s. being in my late 20s now, having experience so many things in life, sitting in a rainy summer day in milan now as i'm typing this, i have to say that i am grateful. answering the question might be as easy as "of course i want to", but i know it won't be as simple as that. so for now, i'd go with what sartre said, "every age has its own poetry" and let whatever that might happen, happens.
