My conclusion of Berlin was that it's not the touristy city where you can instantly be in awe in just a glance, like Paris for example or most cities in Italy, but it takes time and you have to really dwell in it to be able to grab the scene and sense what is going on.

In Berlin we experienced some of the yuckiest but we also learnt the most lessons. Arrived almost midnight, we ended up at a quirky area in town, met some of the weirdest people ever, I saw a guy full of tats and piercing on his whole body even covering up his face leaving only his eyeballs untouched. Then there were the hostels nightmares, being roommates with American drunkards, with Indian old men, and being welcomed by a guy wearing only his black underwear when we got back to our room at 3AM. On the other hand, we also met bunch of lovely people from whom we had the loveliest conversations, from whom we exchanged lots of cultural lessons, from whom we collected and arranged the puzzles of what was going on in the city. Not to mention lots of other dramas, related and unrelated to the city and the people, in Berlin, I experienced.
