i can't be that static

I didn't have any intention to read a typical chicklit book in the middle of the too many things that I have to do, but somehow i did borrow this Fashionista book. Usually I'm not that interested to chicklit, really. I guess it's just my curiosity about woman in the work life, about working in a magazine industry, about New York, or anything. And maybe my life's too boring right now I need to get some refreshment with things that don't consume lotta parts of brain. The point is I did borrow the book and wasted my time reading it instead of doing the overwhelmed things I should do.

The plot is interesting and unlike many other chicklit, most part of the chapter told is relevant to the main story, and the ending. Each short chapter is kinda connected and in the end form a nice complicated ending. Plus, it doesn't give you the typical profile, like a super handsome male crush, you usually find in the typical chicklit. Each character is somehow down to earth and easy to relate to.

She's this static woman who has been working for this boring and useless female magazine for 5 years. Now she's 29. She didn't quit her lame job just because she doesn't know what else to do. At last she found a breakthrough and I like that.
